In 2005 AJ competed in the NASCAR Busch Series where he split seat time with brother Aaron Fike in the 43 CAPG Dodge. With AJ in the drivers seat of the #43 CAPG Dodge he had an impressive finish at Memphis where he crossed the checkers 21st. In his 7 NASCAR Busch series starts AJ's average finish was 29th.
AJ also found success racing in the ARCA Re/ Max series. In cars prepared by former ARCA champion Andy Hillenburg, AJ finished 7th in the 2004 year end ARCA RE/ Max series points. In 22 ARCA Re/ Max series starts, Aj has 3 top 5 finishes and 9 top 10s with a career best finish 2nd place at Berlin.
In 2003 AJ made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck series debut at Pheonix. AJ also competed in all three USAC national divisions. AJ finished the USAC season having scored a victory (Sun Prairie), a second place finish, 9 top fives, and 18 top tens on his way to a fifth place finish in the National Midget Series standings. Also in 2003 AJ scored a sixth place finish at the season ending Syracuse Dirt Cup and clinched a top-10 finish in the Silver Crown Championship points. AJ has eight career top-ten finishes in the USAC Silver Crown Series. In 1999 AJ was awarded The USAC National Midget Rookie of the Year. Curb-Agajanian Performance Group with AJ Fike in the drivers seat and Crew Chief Tim Murphy at the helm will run the full Southern Division schedule in hopes of capturing the series championship.
AJ this season will be the primary driver and will get his chance to rub fenders against the best in Pro Cup. |
